About AWT’s Women of the Month Award
Association Women in Technology is a Non-profit organization made up of a community of diverse, talented professionals focused on promoting the advancement of women in all levels of the technology industry in Southern California. Every month AWT honors women in Southern California that are making strides for all of us in the field of technology. This award is for women that are: Role models for women in technology; involved with industry advances; paving the way for women by her accomplishments; in a technical position after overcoming great diversity.
Criteria for Nomination
Nominees will be evaluated on, among others, their role in leading activities influencing the development or advancement of technology within the community, displaying exceptional character that distinguishes them as outstanding leaders, role models or mentors.
Leadership – Traits of a good leader: honesty, competent, actions based on reason and moral Principles, forward vision, displays confidence, intelligent, shows fair treatment to all people, Seeks out diversity, courageous, inspiring and imaginative.
Technology - Great strides in accelerating the development and contributions towards the enhancement and advancement of science and technology.
Community – Actions that provide service to the overall community and the community of Women.
