Charitable Foundation
AWT established the Charitable Foundation to provide an annual scholarship award for women in Southern California who are pursuing higher education in the fields of technology. The scholarship fund was started in 2006 with proceeds from AWT’s 5th Annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction event, and through the generous support of Laura Peters, CEO of International Software Systems. AWT scholarship awards are offered in cooperation with the University of California, Irvine.
2007-2008 Scholarship Award Recipient
Last year’s AWT Charitable Foundation Scholarship Award was presented to Deeksha Malhotra, a UCI student studying Information and Computer Science at the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Science, a world-class research environment.
