Morey Cellars 2002
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Morey Cellars
is a very small winery committed to
producing the best wines it can make.
With a history going back three centuries
in Europe and back to the 1920’s in
California, the new winemaking generation
is focusing on high-quality, Bordeaux-style
wines that are drinkable upon release
but have a very long aging potential.
With typically under 200 cases per
release, our wines are found in the
best restaurants in very select areas
such as Orange County, Napa, and Boise.
The 2002 release
features a nicely focused bouquet
of ripe black cherry, red currant
with hints of shaved dark chocolate,
and seamless oak integration. The
wine is richly flavored, medium to
full weight, neatly balanced and surprisingly
polished given its age. With a fine
tannin finish and beautiful detail
throughout, it will complement a wide
variety of foods (a rare thing for
young Cabernets today!) Perfect for
classic Duck Breast, Beef Filet or
even Salmon with a red wine reduction,
but just as good with casual Backyard
Barbecue. |
