Computing related professions rank among the fastest growing areas of the job market. By 2020 there will be an estimated 1.4 million IT related jobs from CIO to engineering to programming and everything in between.
Technical innovation continues to play a role in every sector and industry in the US and global economy, but while jobs are increasing, less women are pursing education in computer and information sciences. In 2010 only 18% of computer and nformation science undergrad degrees went to women.
The industry is failing to attract and retain a diverse range of technical talent but we can harness our influence to change and even reverse this trend! This issue crosses gender lines and is equally important to men and women in technology — how can you increase your personal impact as a mentor and role model to encourage diversity in your own organization and professional community?

Proceeds from the Technology Forum benefit the AWT Charitable Foundation which has awarded more than $35,000 in scholarships to women pursuing technology related
