About
Mission Statement – Advancing Women in Technology (AWT) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of women in technology through the endowment of educational scholarships and the creation of opportunities to enhance personal and professional growth, working closely with the business community to facilitate diversity and proficiency.
Based in Orange County, and also serving women of Greater Los Angeles and San Diego, AWT holds four quarterly technology forums and one fundraising events per year, attracting women in every area of technology. Our email distribution list includes over 1500 women and men from those just entering the field, to senior management and technology innovators. Additionally, all fundraising proceeds go towards providing educational scholarships for women pursuing degrees in technology. In 2012, we were able to provide $12,500 in scholarships to five outstanding women pursuing technical undergraduate and graduate degrees.
